✦ What MLP Studio Is
MLP Studio might sound like a big, glossy art studio, but in reality, it’s the corner of my son’s bedroom. With an old desk, a stack of canvases, hoarded art supplies and a dream I’d been quietly carrying for years, I’m jumping in to this!
MLP Studio is more than just a name. It’s a place where I paint stories, honor memories, and walk boldly into the purpose God’s been preparing me for all along. I can’t believe I’m actually doing it, nothing has ever felt more right.
✦ The “WHY”
Why now? I’m 35 years old this year and I have a 16 year long career in the beauty industry. I don’t need a job. Yet I’ve always had this pull to create things. Being creative was always a skill but not until recently did I start viewing it as a gift from God that I needed to chase.
My Creative Space
Across from where I paint I have a space where I have my favorite pieces of art from middle school through college and present day. Most are doodles and unfinished pieces which reminds me to go after emotion not perfection.

I’m using this Journal as part of a dream I’ve been carrying for a long time. I hope you’ll stick around as it unfolds to learn with me, laugh with me, maybe cry a little, and most of all, to celebrate the beauty God has placed in the everyday.
